We are convinced that the Lord of the harvest has already placed the laborers we desperately need within our congregations. Many believers have the desire, but may lack the training and confidence that comes with a Bible education. Here at the Grace Baptist Bible Institute, we believe the most life changing results are seen when both the academics and applications are exercised in the life of a believer. The Local Church: God’s Plan for Planet Earth - by: Jim Gent
What is a local church? Why is it here? What are local churches supposed to be doing? With so many varying types of churches today, we need to use scripture as our standard for discerning what is Biblical and what is not. In this course, we will study both the establishment of the local church, and its purpose in this present dispensation. We will look at its practices, ordinances, offices, and place in the life of every believer. We will also examine examples in scripture to determine what constitutes a true New Testament local assembly. The purpose of this course is to orient people to the program of God throughout the ages, and understand how the local church fits into His program.
