About Grace Baptist Church
Grace Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church located in beautiful southeastern Chester County, in Upper Oxford Township, Pennsylvania. Our church is easily accessible from anywhere in southeastern Pennsylvania, northern Delaware, and northeast Maryland, located just 2 miles north of US Route 1, on Route 10 Limestone Road. We are approximately 50 miles west of Philadelphia.
Every independent Baptist church is an autonomous congregation. We are self-governing and self-supporting. The head of the church is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice. It is our desire to be a truly New Testament church.
Our desire and passion is to exalt the Saviour in every aspect of this ministry. We are not concerned about becoming BIGGER, we are consumed with being BIBLICAL! We believe that Christ should build the church, not man, thus we simply desire to be obedient and faithful to the Scriptures and in our service.
This desire is reflected in our services. The music is traditional sacred music, which adores the Father instead of appealing to the flesh! We reject the method and message of contemporary "Christian" music.
The preaching time also reflects a Christ-centered approach. Our pastor seeks to edify the saints, not entertain them. The Word of God takes priority in our services. You will not find any sermonettes at Grace. You will hear solid and systematic expository preaching of the Word of God.
We believe whole-heartedly that our church should be Christ-centered, not purpose-driven.
